About White Rabbit

White Rabbit was opened in December, 2006 by two Iowa City artists who saw a lack of local venues for independent artists. It was the first store of it’s kind to open in Iowa City, focusing on small-run, unique, limited edition handmade items. In the beginning, White Rabbit offered mostly local, Iowa City artists’ wares including clothing for men, women and children, jewelry and accessories, posters, cards, hand-bound books, art for the wall, messenger bags and housewares. We have grown very rapidly in the last few years and have relocated twice in order to house the growing number of artists we carry. With those expansions we have added vintage clothing, accessories and shoes and have branched out beyond the Iowa City area and now carry designers from coast to coast.
